Velez sources products and services from a significant number of global manufacturers and suppliers, covering 180 countries.
The counteraction, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any area of our business or supply chains is the obligation of every one of those working for us or under our control. Everyone is required to prevent any activity that may prompt or suggest a breach of this policy.
Regarding our own workforce, Velez conducts pre-employment evaluating forms for every new worker and temporary workers, guaranteeing original identification proof records are introduced to confirm their entitlement to work.
Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery is conveyed to all providers, contractors, business partners and employees at the begging of our business relationship with them and fortified as appropriate from that point, in terms of compliance with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act.
Any employee who breaches this policy will confront disciplinary activity, which could bring dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
Manager must be informed as soon as possible in case of obtaining or suspect that a conflict with this policy has happened or may happen later.
We aim to encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this policy, even if they turn out to be mistaken.
Velez may end our relationship with businesses or individuals if they breach this policy.
