Velez Managed Services have like any other business had to tackle the difficulties around COVID-19 but unlike many sectors – the maintenance business has seen a significant increase.

"We had to bring forward some of our recruitment plans during lockdown to cope with the increased demand which has seen our sales increase by around 46%"

With the maintenance side of business ramping up significantly during this period the company immediately had to increase the pricing specialism team to cope with an increase in demand, followed by adding further support Helpdesk and additional sales staff and two more in finance, one of which is an apprentice.

With multiple offices including international, Velez Managed Services began working with EMA Training in Derby recently to hire its first apprentice in Katie, a finance assistant to join the existing team of finance experts employed by Velez.

"Lockdown has been a particularly difficult time for any business in its unique ways, not to say we haven't had difficulties, we have. In fact, adding 15 more employees, ramping up new business but with the understanding that most of our enterprise clients payment terms are 60-90 days means cash flow is tricky during these times."
